Wark wins three in a row, Deloach gets first win of season.

July 8, 2007 Colby, KS.–Another hot day made for a dry-slick track on Sunday evening. Darren Deloach got his first win of the year in the modified division. Ryan Wark also won in the stock division. This was his third win in a row. The next races will be on July 22 at 7:00 pm . Please come out and enjoy a night of great racing action.

Modifieds

Darren Deloach #21 added to his points lead with a win in the modified feature. Darren started ninth and with the help of a few cautions worked his way up to the lead. He was one of the few cars using the high groove to get passed his competitors. Justen Beakley #86 started 2nd and had to settle for that same position. Angel Munoz #2m started at the back of the field but made it all the way to 3rd before the checkered flag. Ronnie Hill #41 made it through the cautions for a 4th place finish. Chris Remetes had a late race spin and made it back up to 5th. The rest of the finishing positions were #25 Scott Saunders 6th, #42 John Fabrizius 7th, #737 Nick Tubbs 8th, #65t Tim Leiker 9th, #3 Brady Coen 10th, #37 Jeff Tubbs 11th, #33m Dustin Daniels 12th, #60r Rod Wadel 13th.

Stock Cars

It took Ryan Wark #8 several laps to get to the front but once he did the race was for second place. Wark expanded his points lead but is only 2 points ahead of Angel Munoz #95w. Munoz finished 2nd and had a great battle with Travis Towns finishing 3rd and Jason Rogers #37 who finished 4th. Wheat Lippelmann #44 was driving a different car this week and finished 5th. Jason Stevens #77 rounded out the field in sixth.

 Bombers

Ron Haremza #11x used a caution with two laps left in the bomber main to get passed Mike Giesenhagen #111. Giesenhagen had the lead the entire race until the restart and couldn’t pull the win away from Haremza. Adam Morris #27 finished 3rd and Raymond Dechant #00 finished 4th. Matt Morris #21m finished 5th and Travis Branum was 6th breaking his string of wins at two. The rest of the finishing order was: #16 Travis Glassman 7th, #s98 Joey Snethen 8th, #3d Jeff Doty 9th, #38 Alan Kurth 10th, #8 Brian Morris 11th, #71 Josh Colby 12th.

Econos

Chad Fields #10f made it through the field pretty quickly and finished up in the top position for the second time this year. He paid a price however as he had his car claimed by Alex West #31. West finished 5th and was able to claim the winners car. The econos are a beginner class and to keep the cost down the claim rule is in place. The claim is either to trade cars for $375 or sell the whole car for $750. Claims do not include any safety equipment. Justin Colby #17 had a good battle with Chad Normandin #01 and Andy Blackhart #1 for 2nd through 4th. Dan Blair #86 finished 6th. The rest of the finishing order was: #11 JR Wolfrum 7th, #7 Adrienne West 8th, #4 Lee Hagman 9th, #73 Jason Schwarz 10th.
