Track NewsJohn Fabrizius wins tune up for $5000 to win fair race.

July 22, 2007 Colby, KS.–A great track greeted fans and drivers for a last chance to get their cars set up for the fair races. The next races will be on August 3rd at 8:00 pm and August 4th at 7:00 pm . If you have been waiting to come out for a special show these will be it! Please come out and enjoy both nights of great racing action.
Modifieds
John Fabrizius #42 held off hard charges from Jeff Tubbs #37 at the start of the race and #2d Duane Dechant in a late race restart to get the win Sunday night. Dechant finished 2nd and Darren Deloach #21 was right there for 3rd. Dechant and Deloach came back from seventh and eighth starting spots to be the hard chargers of the race. Brady Coen was 4th and Tubbs was 5th. Matt Fabrizius ended up 6th and Matt Brack #16m was 7th. Justen Beakley #86 grabbed 8th and Wheat Lippelmann ended in 9th. Keith Stegman rounded out the top ten. The rest of the finishers were #10 Chris Remetes 11th, #41 Ronnie Hill 12th.
Stock Cars
Angel Munoz #95w got his first win of the season in the stock class after running up front all season. Ryan Wark #8 was giving him a great run but came up a little short in 2nd. Wheat Lippelmann #44 was 3rd and Jason Rogers #37 led much of the race but had to settle for 4th. Eric Kinderknecht #C8 rounded out the top 5. Six cars were on hand.
Bombers
The Bomber class had their best race of the season with a lot of side by side action for the first half of the race. Matt Morris #21m grabbed the win and the points lead as the previous leader #3rt Travis Branum had engine problems and couldn’t make the main. Adam Morris #27 came in 2nd and Raymond Dechant #00 made it an all Lamar Colorado driver top three. Scott Urban fought his loose handling car to 4th and Matt Morris #8 finished out the top five. Brent Glassman raced at Colby for the first time this year and came in 6th. Last weeks winner Ron Haremza finished in 7th. The rest of the order was: #30s Brent Beckman 8th, #38 Allen Kurth 9th, #s98 Joey Snethen 10th, #3d Jeff Doty 11th, #63 Norman Wiechman 12th, #53 Don Strecker 13th, #46k Rich Beesley 14th, #71 Josh Colby 15th, #7 Galen Waggoner
Econos
Lee Hagman #4 continued to run well and got the win in the econos. Dan Blair had his best run of the year with 2nd and Chad Fields #10f was back in the car that was claimed last week and finished in 3rd. Drew Miller #49 was 4th and 5th went to #11 JR Wolfrum. The rest of the finishing order was: #17 Justin Colby 6th, #99 Dusty Knox 7th, #01 Chad Normandin 8th, #1 Andy Blackhart 9th, #31 Alex West 10th, #47 Matt Phillippi 11th, #7 Adrienne West 12th, and #73 Jason Schwarz 13th.
