Fans treated to a “double feature” night of racing at Thomas County Speedway .

June. 20, 2010 Colby , KS . –After two consecutive race days were called for rain, Thomas County Speedway finally was able to get the features ran from the May 23 rd races and the regular nights racing in as well. There was only one driver winning both of his features with Jeff Tubbs coming out on top of both Bomber main events. The next races will be July 11th at 7:00 pm. Hope everyone has a safe harvest and see you at the races!

Modifieds

Will Brack started off the night with a win in the make up feature from the May 23 rd races that were postponed. John Fose held off Brack for a few laps but had to settle for second and Matt Brack finished third in the first feature of the night. In the second feature race, Tim Leiker and Marty Clark were battling for second the majority of the race but a last lap mistake by Adam Morris moved Morris from first to third handing the win to Leiker, Brady Coen came up through the field and grabbed fourth with Matt Morris coming in fifth. Twenty Modifieds were on hand.

Stock Cars

Jason Rogers was able to stave off a couple of good runs by Dustin Daniels to get the win in the makeup main event with BJ Wagoner finishing third. The roles were reversed in the second main with Daniels getting the win and Rogers just behind him in second. Ryan Wark managed a very close third even after starting the main a quarter of a lap down after having problems right before the start of the race. Perry Misner had trouble in the first main but had a good run and finished fourth in the second event and Wheat Lippelmann rounded out the top five in the second main. Nine cars started themain event.

Hobby Stocks

In the First main Josh Latka got the best of the field with Richard Boon and Dalton Dolan on his bumper for the checkered flag. Michael Schamberger overcame a trip into the backstretch wall in the first main to take the win in the second main of the night. Richard Boon again finished second and Latka was third. Dalton Dolan and Jason McIntyre rounded out the top five. There were ten Hobby Stocks on-hand.

Econos

Jeff Tubbs is making easy work in the Econo class having won every race so far this year. Joe Austin was giving Tubbs a good fight but came up just short in both mains during the night. Jason Gray finished third in the first main and Adrienne West was fifth. In the second main Adrienne West finished third with Dylan Hageman and Bryan Guyer finishing in the top five. Nine Econos were in the main.
