Darrin Deloach grabs second win in as many races.

June 18, 2006 . Colby , KS . - It was a beautiful Fathers Day evening at the Thomas County Speedway after some much needed rain. A very fast multi-groove track greeted the racers and the fans for the 4th race of the season.

Modifieds

Darrin DeLoach #21 completed a clean sweep, winning heat #1, the cash dash, and the main event. DeLoach used the bottom groove to come from the sixth starting position for the win. #33m Dustin Daniels also used the bottom groove to come all the way from the 12th starting position for a second place finish. The #16Z of Mark Zorn had the lead early, but had to settle for third place. The #3 of Brady Coen finished fourth and the #34H of Doug Holzmeister had a problem free night and found a fifth place finish. The #21Z of Jeremy Zorn also came up through the field for a sixth place finish. The #73 of Nick Tubbs placed seventh, the #2D of Dwayne Dechant placed eighth, the #37 of Jeff Tubbs placed ninth, and the #10 of Chris Remetes rounded out the top ten. Nineteen cars started the main event.

Stock Cars

The #111 of Mike Giesenhagen led from the drop of the green flag to the finish in the main event. It was a great battle for the win with the #01 of Mike Meyer and the #37 of Jason Rogers getting second and third. The #3 of Travis Towns and the #9 of Randy Tipton also battled throughout the entire race and came in fourth and fifth. Eight cars started the main event.

Bombers

The #3RT of Travis Branum got his second main event win in a row in a close finish with #00b of Jake Haines finishing second. The #00 of Raymond Dechant edged out the #25 of Jeremey Blackwill for third and fourth respectively. The #3M of Brent Moss was fifth, The #A1 of Bruce Plumisto and the #38 of Alan Kurth finished sixth and seventh. Kurth ran his first race of the season on this evening. The #11X of Ron Haremza was running second, but lost an engine and had to settle for an eleventh place finish. The #69 of Matt Giesenhagen also had some bad luck and lost a right rear tire in both his heat and the feature and finished 12th. Twelve cars started the main event.

Econos

The econo class main event was dominated by the #3D of Jeff Doty, with the #31 of Alex West coming in second, and the #71 of Josh Colby finishing third. The #17 of Justin Colby was the last car in the race after several cars had problems and dropped out of the race. Twelve cars started the main event.
